At seventeen God’s grace opened Wendy’s heart to the truth, hope, and love of God. From that point on her life was changed. As she continued to learn more and to gain understanding of who she is in Him she developed a deep gratitude for God and those around her offering their love and opening their lives to her in the name of God. Today, she continues that journey of learning to love God heart, mind, soul, and strength and encourages others to do the same. She has been the young person who valued the input of mentors in her life and she has in the past and still does currently mentor young people who are desiring to grow or who just value relationship.

In addition, Wendy has spent the past 20(+) years married and raising 3 amazing children to know, love, and follow God. In her previous professional life, she is an entrepreneur at heart who has 15(+) years of experience in running both an Interior Design business and an Art business. In 2020, Wendy decided to return to school and continue her education beyond her design degree into a field which could provide her the opportunity to make a more meaningful impact in people’s lives. She recently completed her second associate degree in community health services and is continuing her education as she works towards finishing her bachelor’s degree in psychology. As Mentor Coordinator at Youth 71Five Ministries Wendy is uniquely suited to find, train, and match mentors who can share God’s story of hope with young people through trusting relationships.
